The rufous-breasted antpitta (''Grallaricula leymebambae''), also called Leymebamba antpitta, is a species of bird in the family Grallariidae. It is found in Bolivia, Ecuador, and Peru. Taxonomy and systematics The rufous-breasted antpitta was originally described in 1933 as a subspecies of the rusty-breasted antpitta (''G. ferrugineipectus''). A study published in 2018 showed it to be a full species. The rufous-breasted antpitta is monotypic. The scallop-breasted antpitta (''Grallaricula loricata'') is a Near Threatened species of bird in the family Grallariidae. It is endemic to Venezuela. Taxonomy and systematics The scallop-breasted antpitta was originally described in 1857 as ''Grallaria loricata'' by Philip Sclater, and a year later reclassified by him into genus ''Grallaricula''. The scallop-breasted antpitta is monotypic. However, one prominent ornithologist has suggested that the Peruvian antpitta (''G. peruviana'') might be a subspecies of it. The rusty-breasted antpitta (''Grallaricula ferrugineipectus'') is a species of bird in the family Grallariidae. It is found in Colombia and Venezuela. Taxonomy and systematics The rusty-breasted antpitta has two subspecies, the nominate ''G. f. ferrugineipectus'' ( Sclater, PL, 1857) and ''G. f. rara'' (Hellmayr & Madarász, G, 1914). Subspecies ''G. f. rara'' was treated by some authors in the early twentieth century as a separate species. The Sucre antpitta (''Grallaricula cumanensis'') is a Vulnerable species of bird in the family Grallariidae.It is endemic to Venezuela.
