Graeme Smith (radio Presenter)
Graeme Smith is a British broadcaster born in Liverpool, England. He is a podcaster and a radio presenter on Virgin Radio UK. Prior to this he was a presenter on Capital (radio network), Capital where he hosted a drive time show from 2016 to 2023. He also hosts OUTCAST UK, an LGBTQ+ news-talk and interviews podcast. Career He presented his first radio show in 2001 aged 16 working on the launch of Juice FM in Liverpool. From 2002 to 2006 he hosted regular shows across the Galaxy FM Network including network weekend breakfast and Sunday night show "Galaxy Anthems". For several years he hosted the weekday drive time show on regional station Capital Yorkshire, Galaxy 105 across the Yorkshire region of England. Virgin Radio UK is a national Hot Adult Contemporary radio station in the United Kingdom that launched on 30 March 2016, owned by News Broadcasting, which is itself a subsidiary of News Corp. It is the second incarnation of Virgin Radio in the UK: the original station launched in 1993 before being rebranded as Absolute Radio in 2008. Current TV
Current TV was an American television channel which broadcast from August 1, 2005, to August 20, 2013. Prior INdTV founders Al Gore and Joel Hyatt, with Ronald Burkle, each held a sizable stake in Current TV. Comcast and DirecTV each held a smaller stake. The channel started out with user-generated content made by viewers in 15-minute blocks. The channel later switched formats to become an independent news network aimed at progressive politics. Neither format brought the success that Gore and Hyatt had desired. Absolute Radio is a British digital radio station owned and operated by Bauer Media Audio UK as part of the Absolute Radio Network. It broadcasts nationally across the UK via digital audio broadcasting. The station focuses on alternative and indie music. Radio X is a British national commercial radio station focused on alternative music, primarily indie rock, and owned by Global. The station launched in 1989 as a pirate radio station named Q102, before being renamed Xfm in 1992.
