Graeme Bowbrick
Graeme Bowbrick (born 1966) is a Canadian lawyer, educator and former politician. Bowbrick is a faculty member in the Criminology Department at Douglas College and sits on the College Board. He served as a New Democratic Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 1996 to 2001, representing the riding of New Westminster. New Westminster (provincial Electoral District)
New Westminster is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Canada. It is the only electoral district in British Columbia to have existed for every general election. The riding is notable for a couple of reasons. It never voted for a Social Credit candidate during the Socred's era of dominance between 1952 and 1991. It was also represented by Byron Ingemar Johnson, the 24th Premier of British Columbia. During the 1990s, the riding was represented by Anita Hagen, who served as Deputy Premier of British Columbia and Minister of Education from 1991 to 1993 during the premiership of Mike Harcourt. Hagen was replaced by Graeme Bowbrick in 1996, who served as Minister of Advanced Education in 2000, and Attorney General from 2000 to 2001. Cathy McGregor
Catherine McGregor (born June 8, 1955) was an educator and political figure in British Columbia. She represented Kamloops in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 1996 to 2001 as a New Democratic Party (NDP) member. She was educated at the University of Victoria and Simon Fraser University. McGregor taught elementary school for 19 years and also served as a teacher librarian. She served in the provincial cabinet as Minister of Municipal Affairs, as Minister of Environment, Lands and Parks and as Minister of Advanced Education, Training and Technology and Minister Responsible for Youth. In 1999 she announced a $2million allocation for B.C. provincial park system.
