Grade 8 (band)
Grade 8 (stylized as grade 8) was a four-piece nu metal band originating from New Jersey, U.S. History Formation and ''Grade 8'' (1996–2003) Grade 8's origins can be traced back to the East Coast, specifically the state of New Jersey. Guitarist Dustin Tooker played in a local band and, needing a last-minute replacement for the band's vocalist at a show, recruited his brother Ryan. This new lineup proved to be successful and was well received by the local music community, giving birth to Grade 8. The brothers continued to play shows in the New Jersey area over the next two years, with a constantly changing rhythm section. The name of the band stemmed from two meanings: the first referring to the grade 8 metal that is used for bolts that Dustin Tooker would use when working as a mechanic. Anthrax (American Band)
Anthrax is an American heavy metal band from New York City, formed in 1981 by rhythm guitarist Scott Ian and bassist Dan Lilker. The group is considered one of the leaders of the thrash metal scene from the 1980s and is part of the "Big Four" of the genre, along with Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer. They were also one of the first thrash metal bands (along with Overkill and Nuclear Assault) to emerge from the East Coast. The band has released 11 studio albums, several other albums, and 26 singles, including collaborating on a single with American hip hop group Public Enemy. Scorpions are predatory arachnids of the order Scorpiones. Paige Haley (born May 10, 1966) is an American musician and record producer. Born and raised in Alameda, California, as Brad Armstrong. He is close friends with Jay Gordon, another member of their band Orgy. He used to paint houses for a living, and play gigs for local bands until eventually joining Orgy. Depswa is a four-piece alternative metal band from Modesto, California. The band released two studio albums, two EPs, and a compilation before entering an indefinite hiatus in 2011. History Formation and EP releases The beginnings of Depswa came together in 1997 with vocalist Jeremy Penick and bassist Ryan Burchfield, under their original band name "Carcinogen". Ozzfest is an annual music festival tour of the United States and sometimes Europe and later Japan, featuring performances by many heavy metal and hard rock musical groups. It was founded by Sharon Osbourne and her husband Ozzy Osbourne, both of whom also organised each yearly tour with their son Jack Osbourne, and was held almost annually between 1996 and 2018.
