Grace Parsons
Grace E Parsons (born 18 August 2003) is an Australian cricketer who plays as a right-arm leg break bowler for Queensland in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) and Brisbane Heat in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL). Domestic career Parsons plays grade cricket for Gold Coast District Cricket Club. She made her debut for Queensland on 6 March 2022, against South Australia in the WNCL, taking 4/33 from her 7 overs. She went on to play six matches overall for the side that season, taking 6 wickets at an average of 31.33. She played 10 matches for the side in the 2022–23 Women's National Cricket League season, and was the side's second-leading wicket-taker, with 15 wickets at an average of 20.66. Against South Australia on 17 February 2023, she took 4/40 from her ten overs. She was also included in the Brisbane Heat squad in the Women's Big Bash League, but did not play a match. Leg Spin
Leg spin is a type of spin bowling in cricket. A bowler who uses this technique is called a leg spinner. Leg spinners bowl with their right-arm and a wrist spin action. The leg spinner's normal delivery is called a leg break, which spins from right to left (from the bowler's perspective) when the ball bounces on the pitch. For a right-handed batter, the ball breaks towards them from the leg side, hence the name 'leg break'. Leg spinners bowl mostly leg breaks, varying them by adjusting the line and length, and amount of side spin versus topspin of the deliveries. Leg spinners also typically use variations of flight by sometimes looping the ball in the air, allowing any cross-breeze and the aerodynamic effects of the spinning ball to cause the ball to dip and drift before bouncing and spinning or "turning", sharply. 2021–22 Women's National Cricket League Season
The 2021–22 Women's National Cricket League season was the 26th season of the Women's National Cricket League, the women's domestic limited overs cricket competition in Australia. The tournament started on 17 December 2021 and finished on 27 March 2022. Queensland were the defending champions. Tasmania won the competition, their first WNCL title, beating South Australia in the final. The 2022–23 Women's Big Bash League season or WBBL, 08 was the eighth season of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL), the semi-professional women's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia.
