Gombe State
Gombe State (; ) is a States of Nigeria, state in North East (Nigeria), northeastern Nigeria, bordered to the north and northeast by the states of Borno State, Borno in the vicinity of Gongola River and Lake Dadin Kowa Dam, Dadin Kowa and Yobe State, Yobe in the vicinity of Gongola River, to the south by Taraba State, to the southeast by Adamawa State, and to the west by Bauchi State. Bauchi State

Alhaji Abubakar Habu Hashidu (10 April 1944 – 27 July 2018) was a Nigerian politician who served as a Minister of Water Resources, minister of Agriculture and also Minister of Rural Development then further elected as governor of Gombe State from 1999 to 2003 under the platform of All People's Party (APP). Hashidu was the minister of Water Resources as well as a minister of Agriculture and Rural Development during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida. All People's Party (Nigeria)
The All People's Party (APP) is a former Nigerian political party. It was formed in late 1998 during a transition from military to civilian rule by a coalition of associations that received considerable support under the regime of Sani Abacha. Most of the party's support came from the middle belt region and parts of the north. Following gubernatorial elections in January 1999, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) emerged as the dominant political party. As a result, the APP and another party – the Alliance for Democracy (AD) – formed a coalition to contest the upcoming presidential election. Mohammed Danjuma Goje (born 10 October 1952) was a former Governor of Gombe State, Nigeria under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), taking office on 29 May 2003 during the 2003 Gombe State gubernatorial election. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo (born 4 April 1962) is a Nigerian politician who has served as senator for Gombe North since 2023. He previously served as governor of Gombe State from 2011 to 2019. He is a former Accountant-General of the Federation. Early life and education Dankwambo was born on 4 April 1962 at Herwagana Gombe. He graduated from Ahmadu Bello University in 1985, with a degree in Accounting. He obtained a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Lagos in 1992 and a PhD in Accounting from Igbinedion University. Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya (born 9 October 1961) is a Nigerian businessman and politician who has served as the governor of Gombe State since 2019. Early life Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya was born on 9 October 1961 in Jekadefari, Gombe, Gombe State. His father, Alhaji Yahaya Umaru, was a famous businessman.
