Governor Of Osun State
The governor of Osun State is the head of government of Osun State in Nigeria. The governor is the head of the executive branch of the Osun State Government. The governor has a duty to enforce state laws and the power to either approve or veto bills passed by the Osun State House of Assembly, to convene the legislature and grant pardons. When Osun State was created from Oyo State in 1991, Colonel Leo Segun Ajiborisha was appointed its first head of State. Ademola Adeleke
Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke (; born 13 May 1960) is a Nigerian politician and businessman who has been serving as the governor of Osun State since 2022. He served as the senator representing the Osun-West senatorial district from 2017 to 2019. Osun State House Of Assembly
The Osun State House of Assembly is the legislative arm of the government of Osun State of Nigeria. It is a unicameral legislature with 26 members elected from the 30 local government areas of the state known as state constituencies. In some places two local government areas are merged to form a single state constituency. This makes the number of legislators in the Osun State House of Assembly 26. The fundamental functions of the Assembly are to enact new laws, amend or repeal existing laws and oversight of the executive. Members of the assembly are elected for a term of four years concurrent with federal legislators (Senate and House of Representatives). The Social Democratic Party of Nigeria (SDP) is a centre-left political party in Nigeria. Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke (; 15 January 1955 – 23 April 2017) was a Nigerian politician, he was a two time senator who represented Osun West from 2007 to 2011 under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and was elected again under the banner of the All Progressives Congress in 2015. Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola (born 29 September 1954) is a Nigerian politician who is the current minister of Marine and Blue Economy. He served as governor of Osun State from 2018 to 2022. He contested for the Osun State gubernatorial seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 2018 gubernatorial election and won. Ọlagunsoye Oyinlọla (born 3 February 1951) is a retired Nigerian general, he became governor of Osun State, Nigeria in May 2003, and was reelected in 2007.
