Government Of Namibia
The government of Namibia consists of the executive, the legislative and the judiciary branches. The Cabinet is the executive organ of government, implementing the laws of the country. It consists of the president, the prime minister and his deputy, as well as the ministers of the Cabinet of Namibia. The legislative organs of government are the National Council and the National Assembly. They make the laws of the country. The judiciary organs of government are the courts. The highest court of Namibia is the Supreme Court. There are also the high courts and lower courts. The Namibian government is partly centralised and partly regional. In the executive branch, central government consists of ministries, offices and agencies, whereas regional government consists of regional councils, and constituencies within these. Cabinet Of Namibia
The Cabinet of Namibia is an appointed body that was established by Chapter 6 (Articles 35-42) of the Constitution of Namibia. It is mandated to include: the President of Namibia, the Prime Minister of Namibia and any positions that the President so appoints. All cabinet members also sit in the National Assembly of Namibia, National Assembly. This situation has been criticised by Namibia's civil society and the opposition as creating a significant overlap between Executive (government), executive and legislature, undermining the separation of powers. The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) is a department of the Namibian government. It was established in 1990 as Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, responsible for licensing of the media, the first minister was Hidipo Hamutenya. The ministry was disbanded in 2000; Its portfolio was added to the foreign ministry. In 2003 it was reestablished under its original name, and in 2008 it gained the communication portfolio from the Ministry of Works and Transport. Since then it carries its name. This is a demography of the population of Namibia including population density, ethnicity, education level, health of the populace, economic status, religious affiliations and other aspects of the population. Population Census results As required by the Namibian ''Statistics Act'' #66 of 1976, and in accordance with United Nations recommendations, a census is conducted every ten years. After Namibian independence the first Population and Housing Census was carried out in 1991, further rounds followed in 2001 and 2011. The data collection method is to count every person resident in Namibia wherever they happen to be. This is called the ''de facto'' method. For enumeration purposes the country is demarcated into 4,042 ''enumeration areas''. These areas overlap with constituency boundaries in order to get reliable data for election purposes as well. The Namibian Police Force (NAMPOL) is the national police force of Namibia. It was established by the Namibian Constitution and enacted by an act of Parliament of Namibia, Parliament. The Namibian Police Force replaced the South West African Police as the national police force of the country in 1990. Sebastian Ndeitunga was its inspector general since 2005 to 2022.
