Gouzon
Gouzon (; Auvergnat dialect, Auvergnat: ''Gosom'') is a Communes of France, commune in the Creuse Departments of France, department in central France. Geography Gouzon is located about east of Guéret in the Massif Central on the river Voueize, as well as its tributary Goze. The Route nationale 145 (European route E62) passes through the commune. The train station Parsac-Gouzon on the railroad line Montluçon - Saint-Sulpice-Laurière is located in the neighboring commune Parsac-Rimondeix. Population The inhabitants are known as ''Gouzonnais''. European route E 62 is a road in Europe, part of the United Nations International E-road network. Auvergnat Dialect
(; ) or (endonym: ) is a northern dialect of Occitan language, Occitan spoken in central and southern France, in particular in the former administrative region of Auvergne. Currently, research shows that there is not really a true Auvergnat dialect but rather a vast northern Occitan linguistic area. The word "Auvergnat" is above all a local historiographical creation. Creuse (; or ) is a department in central France named after the river Creuse. After Lozère, it is the second least populated department in France. It is bordered by Indre and Cher to the north, Allier and Puy-de-Dôme to the east, Corrèze to the south, and Haute-Vienne to the west. Guéret (; Occitan: ''Garait'') is a commune and the prefecture of the Creuse department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in central France. Geography Guéret is a light industrial town, the largest in the department, with a big woodland and some farming not far from the town centre. It is approximately by road northeast of Limoges at the junction of the D942, D940 and the N145 roads. History Guéret grew up round an abbey founded in the 7th century. In later times it became the capital of the County of La Marche.
