Gordon Heuckeroth
Cornelis Willem "Gordon" Heuckeroth (; born 6 July 1968), known simply as Gordon, is a Dutch singer and television personality. Internationally, he is best known for his membership of the supergroup the Toppers, which represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song "Shine". He left the group in 2011. Career In 1990, Heuckeroth came third in the ''Nationaal Songfestival''. In 1991, he had a Dutch number one hit with the single "Kon ik maar even bij je zijn" (''If only I could be with you for just a while''). In 2003, Heuckeroth again participated in the Nationaal Songfestival, finishing second after Esther Hart. Heuckeroth joined Dutch singers Gerard Joling and René Froger in a series of concerts under the name the Toppers. Radio 538 () is a Dutch commercial radio station that was founded in Hilversum, Netherlands in 1992. It is the second-most listened to radio station in the Netherlands. Radio 538 refers to the wavelength on which Radio Veronica used to broadcast in the 1970s. The station is owned by Talpa Network. Mostly targetting a young audience, the station plays a mix of current dance, R&B, pop, and rock hits. The music selection is mainly based on the Dutch Top 40 chart. Metropole Orkest
The Metropole Orkest (Metropole Orchestra) is a jazz and pop orchestra based in the Netherlands, and is the largest full-time ensemble of its kind in the world. A hybrid orchestra, it is a combination of jazz, big band and symphony orchestra. Comprising 52–97 musicians, it is versatile across many musical forms, and is equipped with a "double rhythm section" – one for pop and rock, and one for jazz based music. Re-Play is a Dutch R&B group from Rotterdam. The group is composed of singers Alwin Burke, Mark Dakriet, Henk Waarde and Samuel de Wit. The Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (; NOS ; English: Dutch Broadcasting Foundation) is one of the broadcasting organisations making up the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system. Chinese people in the Netherlands form one of the largest overseas Chinese populations in continental Europe. In 2018 official statistics showed 92,644 people originating from the People's Republic of China (PRC) (including Hong Kong) and Republic of China (ROC), or people with at least one such parent. Racist Joke
An ethnic joke is a remark aiming at humor relating to an ethnic, racial or cultural group, often referring to an ethnic stereotype of the group in question for its punchline. Perceptions of ethnic jokes are ambivalent. Christie Davies gives examples that, while many find them racist and offensive, for some people jokes poking fun at one's own ethnicity may be considered acceptable. The Voice Senior (Dutch TV Series)
The Voice Senior is a Dutch talent-search television program produced by Talpa Productions which is broadcast on RTL 4. The show is based on the concept of ''The Voice of Holland'' and '' The Voice Kids'', both of which were also created by John de Mol. However, participants must be older than sixty. Format The show consists of four different phases: production audition, Blind Audition, The Knockouts and the Live Finale. The production auditions are not filmed, here only the good singers are selected by the program to go to the Blind Auditions.
