Gor Malakyan
Gor Malakyan ( hy, Գոռ Մալաքյան; born 12 June 1994) is an Armenian professional footballer who plays for Ararat Yerevan and the Armenia national team. Biography Gor Malakyan was born on 12 June 1994 in Yerevan, Armenia. He is the younger brother of current teammate Edgar Malakyan, with whom he has also shared squad in FC Pyunik (2011/12), Alashkert FC (2014), FC Shirak (2015) and the Armenia national football team (2016-?). Despite Gor had originally started playing in more attacking positions, such as playmaker or secondary striker, his conditions and characteristics lead him to deeper and more defensive and balanced positions. By the time he got to FC Shirak, he had been playing central midfield - thus getting to a steady role as a defensive midfielder. After a great performance in 2015/16 UEFA Europa League playoffs, nearly qualifying for the group stage, FC Stal Kamianske (owned by another Armenian) decided to purchase his and his older brother's services. Yerevan
Yerevan ( , , hy, Երևան , sometimes spelled Erevan) is the capital and largest city of Armenia and one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. The 2012–13 Armenian Cup was the 22nd season of Armenia's Association football, football knockout competition. It featured the eight 2012–13 Armenian Premier League, 2012–13 Premier League teams and Alashkert FC, Alashkert Martuni from the 2012–13 Armenian First League, 2012–13 First Division. The 2019 Armenian Supercup was the 22nd Armenian Supercup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Premier League, Ararat-Armenia, and the previous season's Armenian Cup, Alashkert, with the former winning 3–2 after extra time. 2019–20 Armenian Premier League
The 2019–20 Armenian Premier League season was the 28th since its establishment. Season events On 21 February, the Football Federation of Armenia announced that FC Yerevan had withdrawn from the league due to financial and technical problems. On 12 March 2020, the Football Federation of Armenia announced that all Armenian Premier League games had been postponed until 23 March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 10 July, Lori announced that 17 of the players and staff had tested positive for COVID-19, and as a result the whole club was now isolating, and as a result their last game of the season, scheduled for 14 July against Ararat Yerevan was cancelled with the points not being awarded to either team.
