Gopalganj Sporting Club ( bn, গোপালগঞ্জ স্পোর্টিং ক্লাব) is a Bangladeshi professional football club based in Gopalganj. It will compete in the Bangladesh Premier League, the top tier of Bangladeshi football league system, after being promoted from the Bangladesh Championship League in the 2022–23 season. History Gopalganj Sporting Club was established in 2021, and the club's first president, Gazi Hafizur Rahman Liku is also the assistant private secretary of prime minister Sheikh Hasina, and both of their families reside from Gopalganj District. The 2023–24 Bangladesh Premier League, also known as the ABG Bashundhara Bangladesh Premier League for sponsorship reasons, was the 16th season of the Bangladesh Premier League since its establishment in 2007. Federation Cup, also known as Bangladesh Federation Cup, is Bangladesh's premier cup competition in men's association football. The competition started in 1980 and is run by the Bangladesh Football Federation which is responsible for all types of competitive matches in the country. The teams from the country's premier league and other clubs compete in the tournament while occasionally Indian sides were invited in the past. BFF Elite Football Academy is a Bangladeshi youth development football academy based on Dhaka, Bangladesh. Established in 2021, it is operated by the Bangladesh Football Federation, with the goal of developing young players for the future and nurturing young Bangladeshi talents.
