''Cloaca'' is a 2003 Dutch film, directed by Willem van de Sande Bakhuyzen. It is a film adaptation of the 2002 theatre play ''Cloaca'' written by Maria Goos, who wrote the scenario for the film as well. The leading roles celebrate men in their 40s who were formerly student friends but since then have let their relationship go stale. They are played by: Goos's husband Peter Blok (Tom), Pierre Bokma (Pieter), Gijs Scholten van Aschat (Joep), and Jaap Spijkers (Maarten). Female roles were played by Caro Lenssen (Laura), Elsie de Brauw (Conny), and Marleen Stolz (Russian prostitute). Eric Schneider acted in a supporting role as Brest, Pieter's boss's boss. Goos Meeuwsen (born Arnhem, 1982) is a Dutch circus artist. He took his first steps in juggling and the art of clowning in the Arnhem-based circusschool "Poehaa". As from age nine he performed in the annual Worldstar Christmas Circus in Arnhem's Rijnhal. In 1998, he and his friend Ramon Hopman performed in Cirque d'Hiver in Roermond. Meeuwsen studied at the École Nationale de Cirque de Montréal. In 2004, after graduation, he performed together with former classmates James Tanabe and Annie-Kim Déry in the show ''Till Tomorrow''. Sofie Goos (born 6 May 1980 in Turnhout, Belgium) is a Belgian triathlete who is a member of the Uplace Pro Triathlon Team. Goos made her big break into the sport in 2008 with wins in Ibiza, Knokke, Mechelen and Kapelle o/d Bos. In 2009, Goos won numerous races, including the Barcelona Challenge and the Florida Ironman. In Belgium, she was victorious in the 70.3 Antwerp Ironman, and in Brasschaat, Geel, Bruges, Kapelle o/d Bos and Ypres. In 2010, she won long-distance races in Lisbon and Antwerp and the Olympic Distance triathlons of Geel, Bruges Brasschaat and Knokke. In 2008 and 2009, she was nominated for Female Belgian Athlete of the Year. Goos joined the Uplace Pro Triathlon Team in 2010, allowing her to become a full-time professional triathlete. She is also a member of the Antwerp ATRIAC club. Pieter Goos
Pieter Goos (1616–1675) was a Dutch cartographer, copperplate engraver, publisher and bookseller. He was the son of Abraham Goos (1590–1643), also a cartographer and map seller. From 1666, Pieter Goos published a number of well produced atlases. He was the first to map Christmas Island, which he labelled "Mony" in his map of the East Indies, published in his 1666 ''Zee-Atlas'' (Sea Atlas). His ''Atlas ofte Water-Weereld'' (Atlas or Water World) has been cited as one of the best maritime atlases of its time. Another of his fine works was the ''Oost Indien'' (East Indies) map published in 1680. Early life Goos was born in 1616 into a cartographer's family in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Merrilyn Goos is an Australian mathematics educator. From October 2017 to June 2021, she was Professor of STEM Education and Director of EPI*STEM at the University of Limerick, Ireland.
