Good Sports
''Good Sports'' is an American sitcom television series that aired on the CBS network from January 10 to July 13, 1991, starring Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal. It was Fawcett's only scripted TV series after ''Charlie's Angels''. Synopsis The show features the two main characters, Bobby Tannen (O'Neal), a once-famous former football player for the Green Bay Packers gone to seed and Gayle Roberts (Fawcett), an ex-Miss America, as mismatched anchors on an all-sports cable network, Mr. Downtown Bobby Tannen and Ms. Gayle Roberts. Bobby is a self-obsessed jock, constantly worried about himself and his image. Gayle is the more down to earth and level-headed of the two. ''Goodsports'' is an Australian children's television series, produced by WIN Television in Hobart, Tasmania. The half-hour show premiered in 1991, and was broadcast on WIN Television each Saturday morning at 7.30am, and 9:30am nationally on the Nine Network. In American network television scheduling, a mid-season replacement is a television show that premieres in the second half of the traditional television season, usually between December and May. Mid-season replacements usually take place after a show that was in the fall schedule was canceled or put on hiatus, outside factors such as an actor's family emergency or personal illness led to a delay in the program's debut, a program was purposefully scheduled for mid-season (for example, shows NBC airs on Sunday nights after the NFL season ends, as it only takes up the first half of the television season), or a program had a shortened season for some other reason which resulted in a time slot that needed filling. Frederick Albert Travalena III (October 6, 1942 – June 28, 2009) was a U.S. entertainer, specializing in comedy and impressions.
