Good Morning (1955 Film)
''Good Morning'' () (Dobroe Utro) is a 1955 Soviet comedy-drama film directed by Andrey Frolov. Actress Svetlana Druzhinina debuted in this film. Plot Quiet and shy Ekaterina Golovan is assigned to a highway construction project in the Kuban region as a truck driver. Warmly welcomed by her young colleagues, she quickly falls for Vasily Plotnikov, a charming and confident excavator operator beloved by all but too self-absorbed to notice her. Struggling in her initial role, Ekaterina is reassigned to work with a struggling excavator team led by the underperforming Lastochkin. Determined to prove herself, she works hard, becomes a construction leader, and earns widespread respect. When a delegation, including Vasily, visits to study her methods, their relationship takes a new turn, and they ultimately embark together on the construction of another major highway. She finished eight grades, but was not able to complete her education, as the Great Patriotic War began. Nikolay Gavrilovich Smorchkov (; 9 August 1930 – 7 March 2021) was a Soviet and Russian film actor. Biography Nikolay Smorchkov was born on 9 August 1930 in the village of Ivankovo, Gavrilovo-Posadsky District, in a large peasant family named Gavril Ivanovich and Pelageya Matveyevna. In 1933, fleeing Collectivization in the Soviet Union, Collectivization, the family moved to the village of Orgtrud, which was not far from Vladimir, Russia, Vladimir (now the district of the city). Being still in the 7th grade, the future actor caught a movie and decided to become a film actor. After graduation Smorchkov came to Moscow and entered the VGIK (course of Sergei Gerasimov (film director), Sergei Gerasimov and Tamara Makarova), where he had to deal specially with removing his pronounced accent. Mikhail Ivanovich Pugovkin (; 13 July 1923 — 25 July 2008) was a Soviet and Russian comic actor named a People's Artist of the USSR in 1988. He studied in the Moscow Art Theatre school under Ivan Moskvin, took part in World War II and, following demobilisation, was featured in the 1944 all-star cast adaptation of Anton Chekhov's '' The Wedding''. Another step to stardom was the 1967 comedy ''Wedding in Malinovka''. Pugovkin went on to appear in more than 100 films. His roles in Leonid Gaidai's comedies, such as '' Operation Y and Other Shurik's Adventures'' (1965), '' Twelve Chairs'' (1971), '' Ivan Vasilievich: Back to the Future'' (1973) and ''Borrowing Matchsticks'' (1980) made him one of the most popular comedians of the former Soviet Union.
