Good Books
GoodBooks were an English indie rock band from Sevenoaks in Kent. They first received media attention upon releasing their self-published EP ''Valves and Robots'' in June 2005. The band signed to Transgressive Records in late 2005 for one single (bassist Christopher Porter has the date the band signed their record deal tattooed on his left wrist) and released "Walk With Me" in April, before being signed by Columbia Records shortly after. GoodBooks disbanded after their last gig on 28 June 2009. The name GoodBooks was suggested to Max Cooke at a gig by the children's TV presenter Holly Willoughby. History GoodBooks' evolution began when Max Cooke and Leo von Bülow-Quirk started doing Beatles covers in their attic when they were 8. The Magic Numbers
The Magic Numbers are an English alternative rock band consisting of two brother-and-sister pairs, from Hanwell in west London. The group was formed in 2002, releasing their debut album titled '' The Magic Numbers'' on 13 June 2005. Their follow-up album, '' Those the Brokes'', was released on 6 November 2006; '' The Runaway'' was released on 6 June 2010, ''Alias'' was released on 18 August 2014, and their most recent album, ''Outsiders'', was released on 11 May 2018. The 2009 Glastonbury Festival/Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts was held from 24 to 29 June 2009. Tickets Registration In a similar way to previous festivals, tickets for the 2009 event required pre-registration (of a photograph and personal details) through the festival website. Registration opened on 1 September 2008. Sales Tickets were able to be purchased via the See Tickets website or by telephone. Truck Festival
Truck Festival is an annual independent music festival in Oxfordshire, England. Truck Festival started in 1998, founded by the Bennett family (including the brothers Robin and Joe of the band Goldrush). The Bennett family decided that mainstream festivals such as Glastonbury had become too commercial and predictable. Truck Festival is held in July at Hill Farm in Steventon, Oxfordshire, which lies between Abingdon, Didcot and Wantage. The festival also gave birth to the Truck Records label in 1999. The main stage was originally constructed from three large flatbed trucks, giving rise to a common misperception is that this is where the name of the festival comes from. However, in 2007 Robin Bennett wrote on the official Truck website: "Contrary to popular belief, the name Truck actually came from a compilation CD I picked up, 'Ten Trucking Greats', the soundtrack of the movie ''Convoy''."
