''Gomphus'' is a genus of clubtail dragonflies in the family Gomphidae. As a result of phylogenetic studies, ''Gomphus'' subgenera '' Gomphurus'', ''Hylogomphus'', ''Phanogomphus'', and '' Stenogomphurus'' were elevated in rank to genus in 2017.
