Gombe Bulls is a Nigerian professional basketball team located in Gombe State. The team competes in the Nigerian Premier League. History The team participated in the 2017 FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup, which was the first time the team played in the top continental league in Africa. The Bulls finished 11th with a 2–5 record. In 2018, Gombe won their first ever Nigerian Premier League title after defeating the Kwara Falcons in the final. Nigerian Premier League (basketball)
The Nigerian Premier Basketball League, often abbreviated to the NPL, is the pre-eminent men's professional basketball List of professional sports leagues, league in Nigeria. The league consists of sixteen teams who are categorized into two conferences based on the geographical location. These conferences are Savannah and the Atlantic. The Kwara Falcons are a Nigerian basketball team based in Ilorin, Kwara. The team plays in the Nigerian Premier League and has won one championship in 2022. Following their national championship, the Falcons also competed in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) in 2023. The FIBA Africa Basketball League (formerly named the FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup) was the highest caliber men's professional basketball competition for clubs until 2020, organized by the FIBA Africa and played by the champions of the leagues of the African countries.
