Golubovci Air Base
Golubovci (, ) is a small town in the new Zeta Municipality of Montenegro. Until 2022, it was part of Podgorica Municipality. Golubovci is the seat of the new municipality. The town has 3,110 residents according to 2011 census, while the surrounding Zeta Municipality accounts for some 16,093 residents. Transport Podgorica Airport is occasionally referred to as Golubovci Airport by locals, due to its proximity to the town. Golubovci is located next to the M-2, Podgorica - Bar road ( E65/ E80), main Montenegrin road connection between the coast and northern part of the country. Part of this road went through the centre of Golubovci causing frequent traffic jams during the summer tourist season which led to construction of 4-lane dual carriageway, the Golubovci Bypass, in 2018. Bar (Montenegrin language, Montenegrin: Bar, Бар, , ) is a town and seaport in Coastal Montenegro, Coastal region of Montenegro. It is the capital of the Bar Municipality and a center for tourism. According to the 2023 census, the city proper had 15,868 inhabitants, while the total population of Bar Municipality was 46,171. Name Bar is supposed to be a shortened Slavic variant of ''Antivari''. Montenegrins (, or ) are a South Slavic ethnic group that share a common ancestry, culture, history, and language, identified with the country of Montenegro. Montenegrins are mostly Orthodox Christians; however, the population also includes Catholics, Muslims and irreligious people. The Montenegrin language is the official language of Montenegro. Movement for Changes (, PZP) is a right-wing populist and far-right political party in Montenegro. Its current leader is Nebojša Medojević, the party's founder. History The party was founded by a group of economists and academics in September 2002 and was modeled after the Group 17 Plus in Serbia. It is led by Nebojša Medojević It operated as a non-governmental organization under the name Group for Changes (, GZP) until July 17, 2006, when it reconstituted itself as a political party. Trešnjica Stadium is a football stadium in Golubovci ( Zeta Municipality), Montenegro. It is used for football matches and is the home ground of FK Zeta. History The football stadium at Trešnica location, at Golubovci, was built in 1996, following the season in which FK Zeta gained its first promotion to the Yugoslav Second League. Until now, the stadium was renovated a few times (last time in 2016) and near the main ground is built another pitch with artificial turf. FK Zeta was played First League games at Trešnjica stadium from 2000 to 2022. Historical first game in the top-league, Zeta played on 12 August 2000 was against Milicionar (4:0) in Golubovci. FK Zeta is a professional football club from Golubovci, seat of the Zeta Municipality of Montenegro. It plays in the Montenegrin Second League.
