Golos Party
Holos (, , ) is a Liberalism, liberal and Pro-Europeanism, pro-European political party in Ukraine, led by Kira Rudik. The group was founded by Ukrainian musician Svyatoslav Vakarchuk in May 2019. The party won 20 seats in the 2019 Ukrainian parliamentary election, 2019 parliamentary election, becoming part of the opposition in the 9th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada, 9th Ukrainian parliament. An observer-member of Liberal International, Holos is the first party with liberal ideology to enter the Ukrainian Parliament and form a faction. After the local elections in 2020, the party gained 350 seats in the local councils. Name The name of the party has two meanings in the Ukrainian language: ''voice'' and ''vote''. The Ukrainian Galician Party () or UGP () is a Christian democratic political party active in the western Ukrainian region of Galicia, which consists of Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Ternopil oblasts. Oleh Anatoliiovych Makarov (; 24 July 1965 – 29 October 2024) was a Ukrainian lawyer and politician. People's deputy of Ukraine of the 9th convocation. Life and career Oleh Makarov was born in Kyiv on 24 July 1965. In 1989 he graduated from Kyiv National University, Faculty of International Relations and International Law, International Law Department. He completed postgraduate studies at the same university. 2015 Ukrainian Local Elections
On 25 October 2015 local elections took place in Ukraine. The elections were conducted a little over a year since the 2014 snap local elections, which were only held throughout parts of the country. A second round of voting for the election of mayors in cities with more than 90,000 residents where no candidate gained more than 50% of the votes were held on 15 November 2015. Because of the ongoing conflict in East Ukraine and the February 2014 annexation of Crimea by Russia, local elections were not conducted throughout all of the administrative subdivisions of Ukraine.
