Nan Goldin
Nancy Goldin (born 1953) is an American photographer and activist. Her work explores in snapshot-style the emotions of the individual, in intimate relationships, and the Bohemian style, bohemian LGBT subcultural communities, especially dealing with the devastating HIV/AIDS in the United States, HIV/AIDS crisis of the 1980s. Her most notable work is ''The Ballad of Sexual Dependency''. In the slideshow and monograph (1986) Goldin portrayed her chosen "family", meanwhile Documentation, documenting the post-punk and gay subcultures. Claudia Dale Goldin (born May 14, 1946) is an American economic historian and labor economist. She is the Henry Lee Professor of Economics at Harvard University. In October 2023, she was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences "for having advanced our understanding of women's labor market outcomes”. The third woman to win the award, she was the first woman to win the award solo. She is a co-director (co-directing with Claudia Olivetti and Jessica Goldberg) of the National Bureau of Economic Research's (NBER) Gender in the Economy study group, and was the director of the NBER's Development of the American Economy program from 1989 to 2017. Vladislav Goldin (; born 12 May 2001) is a Russian college basketball player for the Michigan Wolverines of the Big Ten Conference. Ian Andrew Goldin (born 1955) is a South African-born British professor at the University of Oxford in England, and was the founding director of the Oxford Martin School. Goldin is currently the director of the Oxford Martin Research Programmes on Technological and Economic Change, Future of Work and Future of Development. Horace Goldin (17 December 187321 August 1939) was a stage magician who was noted for his rapid presentation style and who achieved international fame with his versions of the sawing a woman in half illusion. Early life Goldin was of Polish Jewish descent and was born Hyman Elias Goldstein in Vilnius, which was then part of Russia but is now the capital of Lithuania. Sources differ as to his date of birth, some give it as 17 December 1873 and some as an unspecified date in 1874. An accident when he was young left him with a speech impediment.
