Goldierocks
Samantha Louise Hall (born 30 October 1984), better known as Goldierocks, is an English DJ, presenter, journalist and producer. Biography Sam Hall, better known as Goldierocks, was born in Guildford, Surrey, England. She is an only child. Samantha studied at St Nicholas School for girls in Fleet, Hampshire and Farnborough Sixth Form College before moving to London when she was nineteen to study a BA Hons in Drama & Theatre Arts from Goldsmiths College (University of London). She first went on tour at 16, when she discovered her passion for live music and performance, instigating her career in music journalism. Samantha now lives in North London. The Selector
''Selector Radio'' is a weekly two-hour radio show produced by Folded Wing for the British Council. It covers a variety of music genres, ranging from grime, indie, soul, and dance and features live sessions and DJ mixes. Launched in 2001, as ''The Selector'', the show is now broadcast in more than 30 countries. In 2011, The Sunday Times likened ''Selector Radio'' to "the best of John Peel". Latitude Festival
The Latitude Festival is an annual music festival that takes place in Henham Park, near Southwold, Suffolk, England. It was first held in July 2006 and has been held every year since, apart from 2020, when it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, the festival went ahead as part of the government's live event pilot scheme, and was the UK's first full-capacity festival since 2019. The festival presents musicians, bands and artists across four stages - the Obelisk Arena, the BBC Sounds Stage, the Sunrise Arena and the Alcove. The festival also includes theatre, art, comedy, cabaret, poetry, politics, dance and literature. The festival is run by Festival Republic (formerly the Mean Fiddler Group), which also runs the Reading and Leeds festivals. SXSW
South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. Lake of Stars Festival is an annual three-day international festival held on the shores of Lake Malawi, the third largest lake in Africa. The first festival took place in 2004 and attracts over 4,000 attendees with musical acts drawn mainly from Africa and Europe. History The festival was founded by British tourist Will Jameson. Jameson visited Malawi in 1998. He was a student at John Moores University and took a year off to work with The Wildlife Society. That work sent him to Malawi. Upon returning to college, Jameson started night club as tribute to his trip, called Chibuku Shake Shake, the name of a brand of Malawian beer.
