Golden Park
Synovus Park, formerly known as Golden Park, is a baseball stadium in Columbus, Georgia that originally opened in 1926 and is currently the home field of the Columbus Clingstones of the Southern League (1964-present), Southern League, the Atlanta Braves' AA affiliate. While Golden Park officially opened in 1926, baseball has been played near the stadium's current location since 1909. In 2024, the Mississippi Braves announced that they would be moving to Columbus at the conclusion of the season. With the announcement of the relocation, Columbus Council members voted and approved not only the lease for the team to use Golden Park but approved $50 million for significant renovations in 2024 and early 2025 to prepare for the team's move to Columbus from Trustmark Park in Jackson, Mississippi. Mississippi Braves
The Mississippi Braves, or M-Braves as they were referred to locally, were a Minor League Baseball team based in Pearl, Mississippi, a suburb of Jackson, from 2005 to 2024. They were the Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves and competed in the Southern League. The M-Braves played their home games at Trustmark Park. Goldens' Foundry and Machine Co. is a privately held ductile iron and gray iron foundry with headquarters in Columbus, Georgia and additional facilities in Cordele, Georgia in the United States. It has operated continuously since 1882. Goldens' provides castings to a variety of industries, including agricultural, construction, power transmission, defense, and large vehicles. Chattahoochee RiverWalk
The Chattahoochee RiverWalk is a 22-mile walking and biking area along the Chattahoochee River in Columbus, Georgia, United States. The trail is paved with asphalt, concrete, or brick. Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, also known as The Hoover Met, is a baseball stadium located in Hoover, Alabama, United States, a suburb of Birmingham. The 1997 Southeastern Conference baseball tournament was the 1997 postseason baseball championship of the NCAA Division I Southeastern Conference, held at Golden Park in Columbus, Georgia, from May 14 through 18.
