Golam Kabir (academic)
Golam Kabir is a Bangladeshi academic and a former vice-chancellor of Netrokona University. He is a former dean of Life and Earth Science Faculty at the University of Rajshahi. Early life Kabir did his bachelor's degree and masters at the University of Rajshahi. He did his PhD at the Banaras Hindu University. Netrokona University is a public university in Netrokona, Bangladesh. Rafique Ullah Khan
Rafique Ullah Khan is a Bangladeshi academic and the first vice-chancellor of Netrokona University. He is a professor of Bangla at the University of Dhaka. Career In April 2013, Khan asked the government to release secular bloggers, who were involved with the organizing of Ganajagaran Mancha, detained by the state or else the protests would increase at the University of Dhaka. They were detained following demands by Hifazat-e-Islam to arrest atheists criticizing Islam. Khan received the Bangla Academy Literary Award in 2017. Khan is the convener of Bangladeshi chapter of the International Society of Bengal studies. Banaras Hindu University
Banaras Hindu University (BHU), formerly Benares Hindu University, is a collegiate, central, and research university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, and founded in 1916. The university incorporated the Central Hindu College, which had been founded by theosophist and future Indian Home Rule leader Annie Besant in 1898. By 1911 Besant was marginalised on the governing board of the College by Madan Mohan Malviya who preferred a more traditional Hinduism with its hereditary caste system to Besant's more theosophical one. Five years later Malaviya established the university with the support of the maharaja of Darbhanga Rameshwar Singh, the maharaja of Benares Prabhu Narayan Singh, and the lawyer Sunder Lal. Bangladesh Chhatra League
Bangladesh Chhatra League, simply Chhatra League (), is the student wing of the political party, Bangladesh Awami League, founded by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 4 January 1948. The organisation is banned and listed as a terrorist organisation in Bangladesh. BCL has been repeatedly accused of committing mass violence including torture, extortion, forced prostitution, killings to instill fear. At least 33 people were killed and 1,500 were seriously injured from attacks by BSL between 2009 and 2014. The number of fatalities rose to 129 between 2014 and 2018 while 31 people were killed in 2018 alone. Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir, commonly known as Chhatrashibir or Shibir, is an Islamic student organisation in Bangladesh. It was established in 1977 as the successor to the East Pakistani faction of Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba colloquially known as Islami Chattra Shangha. Its predecessor, which collaborated with and carried out numerous war crimes on behalf of the Pakistani Army during the Bangladesh Liberation War, was dissolved prior to the establishment of Islami Chhatra Shibir in 1977, with most, if not all, of its members becoming part of Islami Chhatra Shibir.
