Andreas Gohl (born 29 January 1994 in Bludenz) is an Austrian freestyle skier, specializing in halfpipe. Gohl competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics for Austria. He placed 20th in the qualifying round in the halfpipe, failing to advance. Gohl made his World Cup debut in January 2013. Billy Gohl
William Gohl (February 6, 1873 – March 3, 1927) was a German-American murderer and suspected serial killer who, while working as a labor union official, murdered several sailors passing through Aberdeen, Washington. Gohl was convicted of two murders in 1910 and is a suspect in dozens more that occurred between about 1905 and 1910, all supposedly for financial gain by stealing valuables from the victims. Spared from the death penalty by a request for leniency by the jury, he was sentenced to life in prison at Walla Walla State Penitentiary where he died in 1927 from lobar pneumonia and erysipelas complicated by dementia paralytic caused by syphilis. Historian Aaron Goings argues there is cause for doubt that Gohl was a killer, proposing instead that the numerous bodies discovered in Grays Harbor were the result of accidental deaths caused by unsafe conditions on the docks and in the timber industry. Christiane Gohl
Christiane Gohl (born 1958) is a German author who uses the pen names Ricarda Jordan, Sarah Lark and Elisabeth Rotenberg. In addition to writing children's books centered on horses, she is also a novelist. Biography Born in Bochum, Gohl studied history and literature. Working as a travel guide, she discovered New Zealand where she took an immediate liking to the people and the scenery. Using the pen name Sarah Lark, several of her novels are set in New Zealand while she uses Ricarda Jordan as her pen name for her historical novels. Gohl has also worked as an elementary school teacher and a commercial writer. She became interested in horses at the age of 10 and now shows special concern for the art of riding and the care and treatment of horses. Jacobus Golius
Jacob Golius, born Jacob van Gool (1596 – September 28, 1667), was an Orientalist and mathematician based at the Leiden University in the Netherlands. He is primarily remembered as an Orientalist. He published Arabic texts in Arabic at Leiden, and did Arabic-to-Latin translations. His best-known work is an Arabic-to-Latin dictionary, ''Lexicon Arabico-Latinum'' (1653), which he sourced for the most part from the ''Sihah'' dictionary of Al-Jauhari and the ''Qamous'' dictionary of Fairuzabadi. Life Golius was born in The Hague. He went to the University of Leiden in 1612 to study mathematics. In 1618 he registered again to study Arabic and other Eastern languages at Leiden, where he was the most distinguished pupil of Erpenius. Janey Gohl
Janey Lee Gohl (born August 18, 1956) is a beauty queen from St. Cloud, Minnesota who has competed in the Miss USA pageant. Gohl was born to Roger and Bernice Bromenschenkel Gohl. She has three sisters and two brothers. Gohl won the Miss Minnesota USA 1978 title in her first attempt and represented Minnesota at the Miss USA 1978 pageant in Charleston, South Carolina. Geul
The Geul (, ; ; ) is a river in Belgium and in the Netherlands, where it is a right-bank tributary to the river Meuse. Geography The source of the Geul is at about above sea level in northeastern Belgium near the German border, south of the German town of Aachen. From there, after flowing some in a northwestern direction, it leaves Belgium and enters the Netherlands at Cottessen in the Vaals municipality. After a further in a west-northwestern direction through the southernmost part of Limburg, which in its turn is the most southern province of the Netherlands, it flows into the Meuse, north of the city of Maastricht.
