Godiva Ladies European Masters
The Belgian Ladies Open is a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour held in Belgium. History The tournament was played annually 1985–1995. It was known as the Godiva Ladies European Masters 1988–1989 and the BMW European Masters 1990–1994. The tournament was slated to return to the LET schedule in 2020 but was postponed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Linn Maria Grant (born 20 June 1999) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour. She won the 2023 Dana Open on the LPGA Tour. As an amateur, she won the 2017 Ladies' British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship. Family and early years Grant is the granddaughter of James Grant, a Scottish golf professional who emigrated from Inverness in Scotland to Helsingborg in Sweden. The Grant family has had a fair bit of success on Catriona Matthew's home track, North Berwick Golf Club. James won the Scottish Boys Championship on the course, and Linn won the British Amateur Stroke Play Championship there, 49 years later. James died when Linn was 6 years old. Dale Reid
Dale Reid (20 March 1959 – 8 November 2023) was a Scottish professional golfer. She was one of the most successful players in the history of the Ladies European Tour, with 21 tournament victories. She topped the Order of Merit in 1984 and 1987 and was made a life member of the tour after collecting her 20th title at the 1991 Ford Classic. Marie-Laure de Lorenzi (born 21 January 1961, in Biarritz) is a French professional golfer, also known by her married name Marie-Laure Taya. She won 19 tournaments in a span of eleven seasons on the Ladies European Tour, putting her third, later tied third, on the all-time list of number of wins on the tour. Amateur career De Lorenzi played for her country in the European Lady Junior's Team Championship, for players up to the age of 21, from she was 14 years old in 1975 until 1982 and was on the winning team in 1979. Royal Bercuit Golf Club
Royal Bercuit Golf Club is located in Grez-Doiceau, Wallonia, 30 km southeast of Brussels. The only course in Belgium designed by Robert Trent Jones, it has hosted events on both the European Tour and the Ladies European Tour. History In 1965, businessman and landowner Baron Frédéric Rolin began planning the construction of the golf course. Robert Trent Jones agreed to design the course and based on an American concept, the project included an 18 hole golf course and real estate development. Tracy Hanson (born October 28, 1971) is a retired American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour between 1995 and 2008. Helen Wadsworth (born 7 April 1964) is a former Welsh professional golfer on the Ladies European Tour. Federica Dassù (born 17 February 1957) is an Italian professional golfer. Career Dassù was born in Milan. She turned professional in 1983 and joined the Women Professional Golfers' European Tour (now the Ladies European Tour). She won her last Ladies European Tour title, the 2003 Open de España Femenino at an age of 44, the oldest LET winner at the time, and announced her retirement at the end of the season.
