Goa Human Rights Commission
The Goa Human Rights Commission was constituted in the month of March 2011 to perform the functions assigned to the State Commission under Chapter V of the Protection of Human Rights Act 1993. The current Chairman of the Commission is Justice Utkarsh V. Bakre, former High Court Judge. Prafulla Kumar Mishra
Prafulla Kumar Mishra or P. K. Misra (born 17 September 1947) is an Indian Judge, former Chief Justice of Patna High Court and present Lokayukta for Goa. Career Mishra was born in 1947. His father, late Jaya Krishna Mishra was also a judge. He passed LL.B. with gold medal from the Utkal University in 1968. Mishra became the additional judge of Orissa High Court on 17 January 1996. In 2001 he was transferred to the Madras High Court. On 12 August 2009 he was elevated in the post of the Chief Justice of Patna High Court. Justice Mishra was retired on 16 September 2009 from the Judgeship. After the retirement he became the first Chairman of Goa Human Rights Commission. In April 2016 Mishra was appointed as Goa Lokayukta The Goa Lokayukta is the ombudsman institution of the Indian state of Goa.The Lokayukta is an anti-corruption ombudsman existing in several states of India. Patna High Court
The Patna High Court is the High Court of the state of Bihar. It was established on 9 February 1916 and later affiliated under the Government of India Act 1915. The court is based in Patna, the administrative capital of the state of Bihar, India. History of the court A proclamation for setting up the court was issued by the governor-general of India on 22 March 1912. The foundation-stone of the High Court Building was laid on 1 December 1913 by Viceroy and Governor-General of India Sir Charles Hardinge of Penshurst. Work commenced on 1 March 1916. The Patna High Court building on its completion was formally opened by the same viceroy on 3 February 1916. Edward Maynard Des Champs Chamier was the first chief justice of the court.
