Go Down Records
Go Down Records is an independent record label based in Treviso, Italy. It was founded by Leonardo Cola and Max Ear (drummer of the rock bands OJM (band), OJM and Ananda Mida) in 2003 and the headquarters were in Savignano sul Rubicone up to 2019. History Go Down Records started in 2003. The first release was ''Play at High Level'' by Italian hard-rock band Small Jackets in 2004, followed by ''The Light Album'' by Italian stoner band OJM (band), OJM. Then the record label grew, involving many other artists of the independent music scene such as ALiX, Veracrash, Deadpeach and so on. Since its foundation, the label's mission has been to support the independent music scene and in particular stoner rock, garage rock and rock'n'roll genres. Today, Go Down Records is one of the most important Italian and international rock record labels. Independent Record Label
An independent record label (or indie label) is a record label that operates without the funding or distribution of major record labels; they are a type of small and medium-sized enterprise, small- to medium-sized enterprise, or SME. The labels and artists are often represented by trade associations in their country or region, which in turn are represented by the international trade body, the Worldwide Independent Network (WIN). Many of the labels started as producers and distributors of specific genres of music, such as jazz music, or represent something new and non-mainstream, such as Elvis Presley in the early days. Dome La Muerte
Dome La Muerte, pseudonym of Domenico Petrosino (born 18 May 1958), is an Italian guitarist, songwriter and disc jockey. He is one of the greatest representatives of the Italian hardcore punk movement of the 80s. Biography The early years and the CCM Self-taught guitarist, he joined ''Upper Jaw Mask'' at the age of 17, a rock-funky-blues band, with whom he recorded a 45 rpm. From this first experience in 1979 the Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers were born, one of the first Italian hardcore punk bands, protagonists of the GDHC (Gran Ducato Hard Core) scene. With the CCMs he will tour Italy and Europe and will participate in the well-known '' Last White Christmas'' concert on 4 December 1983 organized by the GDHC which will be released in the United States on double cassette. Yawning Man
Yawning Man is an American experimental rock band from La Quinta, California. The band originally formed in 1986, although they released no studio recordings until 2005. They have been noted to be one of the first influential bands in the desert rock scene. History Yawning Man was formed in 1986, founded by Gary Arce, Alfredo Hernández, Mario Lalli, and Larry Lalli. At this time, the band started to play marathon jams during sets performed in the only readily available venues at the time: garages around town and impromptu concerts staged in the nearby desert. As word spread of these parties they evolved into what were called "generator parties" which were informal concerts held deep in the uninhabited desert outskirts of the cities in the Coachella Valley, gradually attracting larger and larger crowds to their shows. Rami Jaffee (born March 11, 1969) is an American musician. He is the keyboardist for the rock band Foo Fighters, whom he initially joined in a touring and session capacity in 2005. He has contributed to seven of the band's studio albums, and formally joined the band as a full-time member in 2017. Prior to joining Foo Fighters, Jaffee was a member of The Wallflowers from 1990 to 2005, and again from 2012 to 2013. He has worked with many artists including Pete Yorn, Stone Sour, Joseph Arthur and Coheed and Cambria. Gramophone Record
A phonograph record (also known as a gramophone record, especially in British English) or a vinyl record (for later varieties only) is an analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove. The groove usually starts near the outside edge and ends near the center of the disc. The stored sound information is made audible by playing the record on a phonograph (or "gramophone", "turntable", or "record player"). Records have been produced in different formats with playing times ranging from a few minutes to around 30 minutes per side.
