''Go Away Mr. Tumor'' () is 2015 Chinese comedy-drama film. It is based on the life of comic book artist Xiong Dun, who after her cancer diagnosis authored a popular webcomic that became a sensation in China. Xiong died in 2012 at the age of 30. Directed by Han Yan and starring Bai Baihe and Daniel Wu, the film was released on August 13, 2015, and became a box office hit. The film was selected as the Chinese entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards but it was not nominated. Bai Baihe (, born 1 March 1984) is a Chinese actress. She was among the highest paid film actresses in China. She is best known for her roles in such films as '' Love is Not Blind'', ''Personal Tailor'', '' Monster Hunt'' and '' Go Away Mr. Tumor''. Early life Bai was born in Qingdao, Shandong. This is a list of submissions to the 88th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has invited the film industries of various countries to submit their best film for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film every year since the award was created in 1956. The award is presented annually by the Academy to a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States that contains primarily non-English dialogue. The award is handed out annually by the United States Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States that contains primarily non-English dialogue. China has submitted more than twenty films for Oscar consideration, two of which were nominated for an Oscar.
