__NOTOC__ Gmina Kołaczyce is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Jasło County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland. Its seat is the town of Kołaczyce, which lies approximately north of Jasło and south-west of the regional capital Rzeszów. The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2006 its total population is 8,832. Before 1 January 2010, when Kołaczyce became a town, the district was classed as a rural gmina. The gmina (Polish: , plural ''gminy'' ) is the basic unit of the administrative division of Poland, similar to a municipality. , there were 2,479 gminy throughout the country, encompassing over 43,000 villages. 940 gminy include cities and towns, with 322 among them constituting an independent urban gmina () consisting solely of a standalone town or one of the 107 cities, the latter governed by a city mayor (''prezydent miasta''). A voivodeship ( ; ; plural: ) is the highest-level Administrative divisions of Poland, administrative division of Poland, corresponding to a province in many other countries. The term has been in use since the 14th century and is commonly translated into English as "province".
