Gloy-Rahal Racing
Gloy-Rahal Racing was a NASCAR team co-owned by Team Rahal owner Bobby Rahal and Tom Gloy Racing owner Tom Gloy. The team raced a Ford in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series part-time in 1997 and full-time in 1998 and 1999. Team history Bobby Rahal and Tom Gloy raced together in the 1970s in Atlantic Championship. Rahal had better results than Gloy, with a runner-up finish in 1977. In 1997, an alliance was made between Tom Gloy's Trans-Am team, Rahal and one of his CART sponsors, Textron Automotive, to have Mike Borkowski drive a Ford Mustang Cobra in that competition. Borkowski would go on to two wins in the final two races of the championship. That same year, Tom Gloy took his team to compete in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, under the name Gloy Racing. Bobby Rahal
Robert Woodward Rahal ( ; born January 10, 1953) is an American racing driver and motorsports executive. As a driver, he won three championships and 24 races in the CART open-wheel series, including the 1986 Indianapolis 500. As co-owner of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, he won the Indianapolis 500 in 2004 and 2020 with drivers Buddy Rice and Takuma Sato, respectively. After retiring as a driver, Rahal held managerial positions with the Jaguar Formula 1 team and also was an interim president of the CART series. Rahal was also a sports car driver during the 1980s, and made one NASCAR start for the Wood Brothers. Racing career Rahal began his career in SCCA feeder categories, eventually finishing second to Gilles Villeneuve in the 1977 Formula Atlantic championship. The Trans-Am Series presented by Pirelli is a sports car racing series held in North America. Founded in 1966, it is sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). The NAPA 200 is a former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series stock car racing, stock car race held from 1995 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, 1995 to 1997 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, 1997 at Tucson Raceway Park in Tucson, Arizona. Walt Disney World Speedway
Walt Disney World Speedway was a racing facility located on the grounds of the Walt Disney World, Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, near Orlando, Florida, Orlando. It was built in 1995 by IMS Events, Inc., a subsidiary of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation, and was designed primarily as a venue for the Indy 200 at Walt Disney World, an IndyCar Series, Indy Racing League event. The circuit's primary use was as a venue for the Richard Petty Driving Experience, and the Indy Racing Experience, programs that allow fans to drive or ride in real race cars. After the 2000 racing season, it was no longer used as a track for major motorsports racing series, but was used by many racing teams from IndyCar to NASCAR as a test venue due to the warmer climate than other tracks around the United States during the off season for racing. Jack Eugene Sprague (born August 8, 1964) is an American former stock car racing driver who has competed in all of NASCAR's three top divisions, most notably in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he won series championships in 1997, 1999 and 2001. Racing career Beginnings Sprague was born in Spring Lake, Michigan, and began racing street stock cars at local short tracks. I-70 Motorsports Park, also known as I-70 Speedway, is a multi-purpose motorsports facility near Interstate 70 east of Odessa, Missouri, USA. Jim Bown (born June 24, 1960) is an American former stock car racing driver. He has run a total of 23 Winston Cup Series races. He scored one top-ten result, a tenth-place finish at Riverside International Raceway in 1982. In the NASCAR Busch Series, he competed in 122 races, with four top-fives and one pole.
