Gloria Dünkler
Gloria Dünkler (born 1977) is a Chilean writer, and winner of the 2016 Pablo Neruda Award. She is best known for her poetry, although she also collects folktales. Biography Gloria Dünkler was born into a large family of artisans, musicians, and fishermen. She studied Pedagogy in Language and Communication at the University of La Frontera in Temuco, and graduated as a Spanish teacher and a licentiate in education in 2003. Later, in 2009, she qualified as a librarian at the Metropolitan University of Technology in Santiago. The same year of her graduation as a teacher, she self-published her first book of poems, ''Quilaco seducido''. With the second, ''Füchse von Llafenko'' ( es, Zorros de Llafenko, links=no), which was released by Ediciones Tácitas in 2009, she won her first major award, the Academy, given by the Academia Chilena de la Lengua. Santiago International Book Fair
The Santiago International Book Fair (''Spanish: Feria Internacional del Libro de Santiago, FILSA'') is an annual book fair held in Santiago, Chile, during October–December. It is organised by the Chilean Chamber for Books (''Cámara Chilena del Libro''). History The Santiago Book Fair was created in 1981 as a national event, an initiative of then mayor of Santiago, Carlos Bombal. It was originally held in Parque Forestal, behind the National Museum of Fine Arts; from 1989 it has been held in the Estación Mapocho Cultural Center. In 1990 the event was expanded to become an international book fair and in 2011, for the first time, it featured a section dedicated to electronic books. German Chileans ( es, germanochilenos; german: Deutsch-Chilenen) are Chileans descended from German immigrants, about 30,000 of whom arrived in Chile between 1846 and 1914. Most of these were from Bavaria, Baden and the Rhineland, and also from Bohemia in present-day Czech Republic, which were traditionally Catholic. Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz (; usually called just Santa Fe) is the capital city of the province of Santa Fe, Argentina.
