Global TV (Venezuela)
Global TV is a Venezuelan regional television channel that can be seen in the Zulia State, located in western Venezuela, on UHF channel 65. It can also be seen on channel 10 by those who subscribe to Netuno and on channel 69 by those who subscribe to Intercable. History Global TV was created in the year 1990 as a television production company. It soon became one of the largest production companies in the Zulia State, producing commercials and audiovisual works. Since the beginning, Global TV has been producing the show ''Primicias'', which is a political opinion program hosted by Guido Briceño, who is also the president of Global TV's parent company. After about ten years of being a production company, it was consolidated as television channel with regional coverage. It currently has a variety of different types of shows. Global TV
The Global Television Network (more commonly called Global, or occasionally Global TV) is a Canadian English-language terrestrial television network. It is currently Canada's second most-watched private terrestrial television network after CTV, and has fifteen owned-and-operated stations throughout the country. Global is owned by Corus Entertainment — the media holdings of JR Shaw and other members of his family. Global has its origins in a regional television station of the same name, serving Southern Ontario, which launched in 1974. Zulia
Zulia State (, ; Wayuu: ''Mma’ipakat Suuria'') is one of the 23 states of Venezuela. The state capital is Maracaibo. As of the 2011 census, it has a population of 3,704,404, the largest population among Venezuela's states. It is also one of the few states (if not the only one) in Venezuela in which voseo (the use of ''vos'' as a second person singular pronoun) is widespread. Canal Maximo Televisión (CMT) was a Venezuelan free-to-air television network that was seen on Ultra high frequency, UHF channel 51 in the metropolitan area of Caracas, Barquisimeto, and the Miranda (state), Miranda State, channel 43 in Calabozo, Puerto Ordaz, and the Zulia State, and channel 21 in San Cristóbal, Táchira, San Cristóbal. History In 1993, Umberto Petricca Zugaro founded Canal Metropolitano Televisión (CMT) and received government authorization to begin its testing phase. It was one of the first television stations to broadcast on an ultra high frequency (UHF) channel in Venezuela. Their studios were located in the Caracas neighborhood of Los Cortijos de Lourdes.
