Global Awards
The Global Awards are held by Global Media & Entertainment and reward music played on the British radio stations which are part of the Global network, including Capital, Capital XTRA, Heart, Classic FM, Smooth, Radio X, LBC and Gold, with the awards categories reflecting the songs, artists, programmes and news aired on each station. List of ceremonies 2018 The Global Awards 2018 ceremony was held on Thursday 1 March 2018 at London's Eventim Apollo. It started at 7:30 pm and was shown live on Capital TV and Heart TV. It was also available to watch on the Capital FM Website, on all the socials and on the radio. The Capital FM Global Awards radio schedule was as follows: Backstage on Capital Drive Time from 4 pm GMT until 7 pm GMT and then JJ, live from backstage from 7 pm GMT chatting to the guests. Roman Kemp (born 28 January 1993), is an American-born British podcast host, television personality and former radio host. From 2017 to 2024, he presented the national radio network Capital FM breakfast show. Kemp presents ''The One Show'' on BBC One. In 2019, he finished in third place in the nineteenth series of '' I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!''. Early life Kemp was born on 28 January 1993 in Los Angeles. Shop Direct Home Shopping Limited (trading as Very and Littlewoods.com) is a British online retailer, originally founded in the 1990s as Littlewoods Direct. Kasabian
Kasabian ( ) are an English rock band formed in Leicester in 1997 by lead vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarist and second vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, guitarist Chris Karloff and bassist Chris Edwards. Drummer Ian Matthews joined in 2004. Karloff left the band in 2006 and founded a new band called Black Onassis. Jay Mehler joined as touring lead guitarist in 2006, leaving for Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye in 2013, to be replaced by Tim Carter, who later became a full-time band member in 2021. The Hammersmith Apollo, currently called the Eventim Apollo for sponsorship reasons, and formerly and still commonly known as the Hammersmith Odeon, is a live entertainment performance venue, originally built as a cinema called the Gaumont Palace.
