Glenn Morrison (DJ)
Glenn Morrison (born September 12, 1985) is a Canadian DJ and record producer from Toronto, Ontario. He is best known for his tracks, "Contact", "No Sudden Moves", "Hydrology", and "Circles", which were ghost produced by deadmau5. Life and career Morrison is a classically trained pianist. Starting piano lessons at the age of four, he began composing and competing through CMC, Kiwanis Music Festival, Richmond Hill Music Festival, and ORMTA - Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association. In his early high school years, Morrison discovered Techno from a friend in his science class, and started collecting vinyl and becoming absorbed. He then worked at Release Records for five years before starting his own record label Morrison Recordings. As a DJ and performer he entertains with melodic progressive house and big-room club sounds. Joel Thomas Zimmerman (born January 5, 1981), known professionally as deadmau5 (pronounced "dead-mouse"), is a Canadian electronic music producer and disc jockey, DJ. His musical style mostly includes progressive house and electro house music, though he also produces and DJs other genres of electronic music, including techno under the alias Testpilot. Zimmerman appears and performs with a custom helmet, similar to Daft Punk and later inspiring Marshmello. He has received seven Grammy Award nominations and won four Juno Awards for his songs. The Juno Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year is an annual award given by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to the best new musician in Canada. The award has been given since 1974, when it was originally divided into separate awards for men and women under the names Most Promising Female Vocalist of the Year and Most Promising Male Vocalist of the Year. These two awards were merged in 1994 into Best New Solo Artist, which was then changed to New Artist of the Year in 2003, and finally changed to its current title beginning in 2013.
