Glenn Monroig
Glenn Monroig (born April 22, 1957) is a Puerto Rican composer, guitarist, and singer of various types of music styles, such as salsa, boleros and rumba. He is credited with having recorded the first rap song in Spanish. Biography Early years Monroig was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico where he received his primary and secondary education. Monroig, his brother Gilberto Jr. and sister Linda were in constant contact with the world of music and were influenced at an early age by their famous father, the renowned singer of boleros, Gilberto Monroig. His professional debut as a singer was at age 14 when he sang at his father's night club ''La Guitarra de Gilberto'' and later went on to perform at places like Ocho Puertas La Tea and other cafe theaters in old San Juan. Emmanuel (born Jesús Emmanuel Arturo Acha Martinez, April 16, 1955, in Mexico City) is a Mexican singer who debuted in the 1970s. Life He is the son of Argentinian-born bullfighter Raúl Acha, "Rovira", who frequently appeared in the Plaza de Acho in Lima, Peru. Emmanuel grew up in Chosica, a town about an hour from Lima, and attended the Colegio Santa Rosa, the town's most prestigious boarding school, which was run by Augustinian priests. Lunna (born June 30, 1955; born María Socorro García de la NocedaGarcia de la Noceda is her paternal surname) is a Puerto Rican singer of popular music and jazz who was the director of the television show '' Objetivo Fama'', the Latin version of ''American Idol''. Early years Lunna was born and raised by both her parents in Ponce, Puerto Rico. While in elementary school, she learned how to play the guitar and in 1972, her mother had her take private singing lessons.
