Glenn Tilbrook
Glenn Martin Tilbrook (born 31 August 1957, in Woolwich, London) is an English singer, songwriter and guitarist. He is the lead singer and guitarist of the English new wave band Squeeze, a band formed in the mid-1970s who broke through in the new wave era at the decade's end. He generally writes the music for Squeeze's songs, while his writing partner, Chris Difford, writes the lyrics. In addition to his songwriting skills, Tilbrook is respected both as a singer and an accomplished guitarist. Squeeze Tilbrook formed Squeeze with fellow guitarist and vocalist Chris Difford in the mid-1970s. Difford had placed an advertisement at a local shop looking for a guitarist and Tilbrook was the only person to respond. Tilbrook also recruited school friend Jools Holland to join the band in its early stages. Glenn Melvin Cox (February 3, 1931 – January 7, 2012) was an American professional baseball player. The right-handed pitcher appeared in 17 games (with five starts) over parts of four seasons in Major League Baseball (1955–1958) for the Kansas City Athletics. Glenn L. Cowan (August 25, 1952 – April 6, 2004) was an American table tennis player. Biography Cowan was from New Rochelle, New York, and was Jewish. His parents were Phil (a television executive, who died at age 48) and Fran Cowan. The family later moved to Bel Air, California. He attended University High School. In 1964, at age 12, Cowan won the singles for his age under-13s group in the Eastern regional junior championships. He won the 1967 U.S. Open junior under-17s table tennis championships. Glenn Edward Brummer (born November 23, 1954) is an American former Major League Baseball catcher who played for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers. Brummer was born in Olney, Illinois. The Extra Glenns
The Extra Lens, formerly known as The Extra Glenns, is a band made up of Franklin Bruno (of Nothing Painted Blue and The Human Hearts) and John Darnielle (of the Mountain Goats). The band acts as a side project for both artists, and stayed underground throughout the 1990s, recording tracks for singles and some compilations. Both artists primarily concentrate on their own solo work, though as their popularity has grown, they have continued to work together. In the early 2000s, the duo decided to keep the project going, and in 2002 Absolutely Kosher Records released '' Martial Arts Weekend'', their first full-length album.
