Glen Hart
Glen Philip Hart (born July 31, 1946) is a Canadian provincial politician. He was a Saskatchewan Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan and represented the constituency of Last Mountain-Touchwood Last Mountain-Touchwood is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada. Located in southern Saskatchewan, this constituency was created by combining the district of Last Mountain with part of the constitu ... from 1999 to 2020. He chaired the Standing Committee on Human Services as well as participating in the Caucus Human Services Standing Policy Committee, and served as deputy speaker of the assembly from 2011 to 2020. His career has included many managerial positions in both provincial and federal government. Aside from representing Last Mountain-Touchwood, he also ran the family farm. The Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan is the legislative chamber of the Saskatchewan Legislature in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Bills passed by the assembly are given royal assent by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, in the name of the King in Right of Saskatchewan. The assembly meets at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building in Regina. There are 61 constituencies in the province, which elect members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to the Legislative Assembly. All are single-member districts, though the cities of Regina, Saskatoon and Moose Jaw were in the past represented through multi-member districts, with members elected through Block Voting. The Yukon Legislative Assembly (french: Assemblée législative du Yukon) is the legislative assembly for Yukon, Canada. Unique among Canada's three territories, the Yukon Legislative Assembly is the only territorial legislature which is organized along political party lines. Cupar, Saskatchewan
Cupar ( ) is a town 75 kilometres northeast of Regina in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Cupar is settled on the flat plains 45 kilometres north of the scenic Qu'Appelle Valley. it is significant for its remarkable hockey history. It is often called the Home of Eddie Shore, as the legendary NHL defenceman was raised here. Cupar is the home of artist Jacqueline Berting. The Berting Glass studio is located north of town. One of her best known works is ''The Glass Wheatfield'', encompassing 1,400 waist-high glass wheat stalks, each piece individually hand cut and lamp worked. Berting calls her work "a salute to the Canadian farmer". The town hosts the Cupar Gopher Drop, a unique lottery held every summer.
