Glasgow Rocks
The Caledonia Gladiators are a Scottish professional basketball club based in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire and are the only Scotland-based team in Super League Basketball, the top tier of domestic basketball in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1998, the club has previously been based in Edinburgh and Glasgow, before being rebranded as Caledonia Gladiators in 2022, due to a change in ownership and location. Super League Basketball (SLB) is a men's professional basketball sports league, league. Established in 2024, the competition replaces the former British Basketball League (BBL) as the top-level men's basketball competition in Great Britain. Iain MacLean (basketball)
Iain Maclean (born 1965) is a Scottish basketball coach. He was the head coach of the Scotland men's national team and the Glasgow Storm club. He is also known for his time as a player for teams in both Scotland and Great Britain. Maclean is also head coach of the Scotland Men's Universities basketball team which won the BUSA Home Nations Basketball title in April 2007. Maclean played NCAA Division I college basketball at Northern Arizona University and played professionally with the former MIM Livingston team and the Scottish Rocks in the British Basketball League. The British Basketball League Cup, often shortened to the BBL Cup, was an annual cup competition for the British Basketball League (BBL). It was one of two peripheral competitions operated by the League during the regular season, with the other being the BBL Trophy. Steve Swanson is an American musician, best known as the former lead guitarist for the death metal band Six Feet Under. He took over guitar duties from Allen West (of Obituary), who left the band in late 1997. Shawn Myers
Shawn Myers (born 26 May 1969) is a Trinidadian-American-British former professional basketball player. After playing college basketball between 1987 and 1991, Myers had an extensive professional career playing in Europe while also having stints in Australia and New Zealand. Utilita Arena Birmingham (previously known as Arena Birmingham, The Barclaycard Arena, originally as the National Indoor Arena and still commonly called The NIA) is an indoor arena and sporting venue in central Birmingham, England. Chester Jets
The Cheshire Phoenix are an English professional basketball team based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. Founded in 1984, they are members of the Super League Basketball and play their home games at the Cheshire Oaks Arena. From 1993 until 2015 the team was based in Chester, where they enjoyed their most success.
