Glamourdale
Glamourdale (born 2011) is a stallion ridden by the Dutch-Based, British equestrian Charlotte Fry in the sport of dressage. He is the 2022 world champion in the Grand Prix Special and Grand Prix Freestyle. Breeding Glamourdale was bred by J.W. Rodenburg, a Dutch Breeder located in Oudekerk aan den Ijssl. His sire is the Rheinländer stallion Lord Leatherdale, by Lord Loxley. His dam, KWPN preferent prok mare Thuja, was sired by Negro and is thus a half sister to Olympic, World, and European Champion, as well as current record holder in all three dressage tests, Valegro. He is currently owned by his sire's owners, Danish Olympian Anne van Olst and Gert-Jan van Olst. 2022 FEI World Championships
The 2022 ECCO FEI World Championships were held in Herning, Denmark. It was the ninth edition of the Games, which are held every four years and run by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). For team events in the dressage and show jumping disciplines, these Games were the first qualifying event for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Charlotte Fry
Charlotte Fry (born 11 February 1996) is an Olympic, European Championships and World Championships medal-winning British dressage rider. Personal story A daughter of Laura Fry, who competed at the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona, Charlotte Fry started riding at a young age. Aged 14, she started training with Olympic Champion Carl Hester, having weekly lessons from the age of 16. Hester told former Danish Olympiad Anne van Olst about Fry, after which Fry moved to the Netherlands to train with van Olst. Since 2012 she has lived and worked alongside her boyfriend in the Netherlands. Career In 2018 Fry became World Champion during the World Championships for Young Horses in Ermelo, riding Glamourdale in the 7-years old division. Dutch Warmblood
A Dutch Warmblood is a warmblood type of horse registered with the Koninklijk Warmbloed Paardenstamboek Nederland (Royal Warmblood Studbook of the Netherlands (KWPN), which governs the breeding of competitive dressage and show jumping horses, as well as the show harness horse and Gelderlander, and a hunter studbook in North America. Developed through a breeding program that began in the 1960s, the Dutch are some of the most successful competition horses developed in postwar Europe. History Prior to World War II, there were two types of utility horse in the Netherlands: Gelderlanders bred in the south under the Gelderlander Horse Studbook (1925) and the Groningen bred in the north under the NWP (1943). Anne Van Olst
Anne van Olst (born 25 March 1962 in Aalborg Aalborg (, , ) is Denmark's fourth largest town (behind Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Odense) with a population of 119,862 (1 July 2022) in the town proper and an urban population of 143,598 (1 July 2022). As of 1 July 2022, the Municipality of ..., Nordjylland), also known as Anne Koch Jensen, is a Danish dressage rider. She was part of the Bronze winning Danish team at the Olympic games in Beijing 2008 and finished 23rd in the individual dressage at the 2012 Summer Olympics, riding Clearwater. In 1991 Anne married to the Dutch breeder and horse dealer Gert-Jan van Olst and moved to The Netherlands. Together they run a sport and breeding stable in Den Hout, Netherlands. Valegro
Valegro (born 5 July 2002) is a gelding ridden by the British equestrian Charlotte Dujardin in the sport of dressage. He stands and has the stable name of Blueberry. He is a double World Champion in Dressage, he won Grand Prix Special and Grand Prix Freestyle at the World. Career Having joined Carl Hester's stable in Newent, Gloucestershire as a groom, Dujardin was offered the opportunity to develop the novice Dutch Warmblood gelding by Hester and co-owner Roly Luard, with the later intention of the horse being ridden in competition by Hester. Valegro remained unbeaten since CDI Kapellen in January 2012. The combination became part of the team which won gold in a European Dressage Championships event in Rotterdam.
