He writes extensively on American political history, the history of freedom, the early history of the Republican Party, African-American biography, the American Civil War, Reconstruction, and historiography, and has been a member of the faculty at the Columbia University Department of History since 1982. WGML (990 AM) was a Christian radio station broadcasting a Gospel format. Licensed to Hinesville, Georgia, United States, it served the Savannah area. The station was last owned by Powerhouse of Deliverance Church, Inc. History WGML began as daytime-only broadcaster in November 1958.
