Giuseppe Du Toit
Giuseppe du Toit (born 29 July 1995) is a Canadian rugby union player who generally plays as a centre for the Toronto Arrows in Major League Rugby (MLR). He also represents Canada internationally. On 27 September 2019, he was included in the Canadian squad for the 2019 Rugby World Cup as an injury replacement to Nick Blevins and also marked his first World Cup appearance. Career He made his international debut for Canada against Chile on 11 February 2017. Maple Ridge is a city in British Columbia, Canada. 2019 Rugby World Cup Squads
The 2019 Rugby World Cup was an international rugby union tournament which was held in Japan from 20 September until 2 November 2019. Twenty national teams competed, and each brought a 31-man squad containing no regulated number of players per-position to the tournament. The tournament was administered by World Rugby, to whom each team submitted their finalised squad by 8 September 2019. A player may be replaced for medical or compassionate reasons, but would be unable to return to the squad. Any replacement player has an enforced stand-down period of 48 hours before they can take the field. Players marked (c) were named as captain for their national squad. The age listed for each player is on 20 September 2019, the first day of the tournament. The numbers of caps for each player do not include any matches played after the start of tournament. 2019 Rugby World Cup
The 2019 Rugby World Cup was the ninth edition of the Rugby World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for men's rugby union teams. It was hosted in Japan from 20 September to 2 November in 12 venues all across the country. The opening match was played at Ajinomoto Stadium in Chōfu, Tokyo, with the final match being held at International Stadium Yokohama in Yokohama. This was the first time that the tournament had taken place in Asia and outside the traditional Tier 1 rugby nations. The tournament saw the first cancellation of matches at the Rugby World Cup with Typhoon Hagibis affecting three matches due to the expected impact on safety that the typhoon would have.
