Giulio Donadio (5 July 1889 – 15 June 1951) was an Italian actor and film director. Donadio appeared in over forty films between 1912 and 1947, including the historical melodrama '' Red Passport'' (1935).Landy p.155 He also directed several films during the silent era. ''The Actor Who Disappeared'' () is a 1941 Italian comedy mystery crime film directed by Luigi Zampa and starring Vivi Gioi, María Mercader and Giulio Donadio. It is a remake of the German film ''Was wird hier gespielt?'' (1940) based on the eponymous play by Theo Lingen. It was shot at the Cinecittà Studios in Rome. The film's sets were designed by the art director Giorgio Pinzauti. Synopsis A young actor, frustrated by the negligible roles he keeps being cast in, plans a hoax. The play he is appearing in, involves his character being shot dead while hiding in a cupboard by an outraged husband. However, when the door is opened he has completely vanished forcing the management to return the audience's money. However, one of the spectators, a police officer had received an anonymous letter claiming that a murder was to take place at that theatre that night and begins an investigation. Beatrice Cenci ( , ; 6 February 157711 September 1599) was an Italian noblewoman imprisoned and repeatedly raped by her own father. She killed him, and was tried for murder. Despite outpourings of public sympathy, Cenci was beheaded in 1599 after a murder trial in Rome that gave rise to an enduring legend. Life Beatrice was the daughter of Ersilia Santacroce and Count Francesco Cenci, a "man of great wealth but dissolute habits and violent temper". When Beatrice was seven years old, in June 1584, her mother died. After her mother's death, Beatrice and her elder sister Antonina were sent to a small monastery, Santa Croce a Montecitorio for Franciscan Tertiary nuns in the rione Colonna of Rome.
