Giulianova Calcio
Giulianova Calcio is an Italian association football club based in Giulianova, Abruzzo. The team failed to renew its license for professional football in 2012. After 4 years' dormancy, the new owner of the club applied to play in 2016–17 5-a-side football, composed of players from folded Città di Giulianova. After 2012, few phoenix clubs emerged: A.S.D. Città di Giulianova 1924, A.S.D. Calcio Giulianova, A.S.D. Piccoli Giallorossi and A.S.D. Real Giulianova. Some teams had been temporarily granted the rights to use the logo of Giulianova Calcio, by A.S.D. Giuliesi per Sempre, the owner of the logo which was purchased from the bankruptcy auctions. Gennaro Delvecchio (; born 25 March 1978) is an Italian football official and a former player who played as a midfielder. He works as the head of youth development at Bari. Club career Early career Delvecchio started his career with amateur club A.S.D. Barletta in 1994. The following season, he joined A.S. Melfi. He would remain at the club until 1998. With Melfi, Delvecchio managed 15 goals in a total of 83 appearances. Following that impressive spell, he was bought by Serie C1 side Giulianova Calcio. Giulianova ( Giuliese: ' ) is a coastal town and ''comune'' in the province of Teramo, Abruzzo region, Italy. The ''comune'' also has city () status, thus also known as Città di Giulianova.
