Gisella Neu
Gisella Neu (April 25, 1908 – December 22, 1989), later Gisella Neu-Fishler, was an American violinist, born in Austria-Hungary. Early life and education Neu was born in Konskau in Austria-Hungary (now Konská, part of Třinec in the Czech Republic). She was sometimes described as Hungarian. She studied at the Budapest Conservatory of Music, and in the United States with A. H. Trouk. Career Neu performed in Budapest, Vienna, and Havana as a child. She performed in New York City for several years, between spring 1925 and 1930. She was also heard on radio programs in this period. ''The New York Times'' reported in March 1929 that Neu's "intonation is generally accurate, her tone warm and ample in volume, and her interpretations are musicianly if not notably brilliant or individual in style." Gisella Sofio (19 February 1931 – 27 January 2017) was an Italian actress. Life and career Born in Milan, Sofio started her career at the age of 16 as a model. In 1951 she began her acting career in Mario Mattoli's film '' Accidents to the Taxes!!''. Since then she had a prolific career as an actress in theatres, movies, and television, working with directors like Michelangelo Antonioni, Luigi Comencini and Pupi Avati. Gisella Perl
Gisella Perl (10 December 1907 – 16 December 1988) was a Hungarian Jewish gynecologist deported to Auschwitz concentration camp in 1944, where she helped hundreds of women, serving as an inmate gynecologist. She worked without the bare necessities required to practice medicine. Perl survived the Holocaust, emigrated to New York, and became one of the first women to publicize the Holocaust experience in English through her 1948 memoir, ''I Was a Doctor in Auschwitz''. She later specialized in infertility treatment at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York and eventually moved with her daughter to live in Herzliya, Israel, where she died. Gisella Loeffler
Gisella Loeffler (1902–1977) was an Austro-Hungarian–American painter, illustrator and textile artist in a distinctive folk style. She began her career in St Louis, Missouri, before moving to the Taos art colony, New Mexico. Although her style was very different from those of other Taos artists, she was popular with them as well as with the public. Among her best known works are murals she painted in an Albuquerque hospital as part of the 1930s Federal Art Project.
