Alula Girma (, born 15 July 1993) is an Ethiopian footballer. He currently plays for Saint-George SA. Career Alula is right back defender and is part of the Ethiopia national football team. The Saint-George player's displays have attracted rave reviews and interest from clubs in Egypt and Tunisia. Alula is a product of Saint-George youth system. Yeshshiemebet Girma (born c. 1977) was the second person (and first woman) charged under the Terrorism Act over the 21 July 2005 London bombings, along with her sister Muluemebet Girma. She is married to Hamdi Adus Isaac who was found guilty of having placed an explosive at the Shepherd's Bush tube station. Her charge related to her failure to supply information that could have helped apprehend one of the suspects of the bombings. She is from Ethiopia. The couple have three children and lived in Stockwell, South London. On 11 June 2008, she was convicted of assisting an offender and withholding information from the police. A court heard that she helped her husband flee police by driving him to Brighton as well as having knowledge of the bomb plot before it was executed. On 12 June 2008, she was jailed for 15 years. Lamecha Girma (born 26 November 2000) is an Ethiopian athlete who specialises in the 3,000 metres steeplechase. He is the 2020 Tokyo Olympic silver medallist in the event and won silver medals at the 2019, 2022 and 2023 World Athletics Championships. Haben Girma (born July 29, 1988) is an Eritrean American, American disability rights advocate, and the first deafblind graduate of Harvard Law School. Early life and education Girma was born in Oakland, California in 1988 to an Eritrean immigrant family. Her father Girma Kidane Adgoy was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and her mother Saba Gebreyesus was born in Asmara. Her mother fled the Eritrea Province, Province of Eritrea to Sudan among many other Ethiopian refugees in 1983 during the Eritrean War of Independence and Ethiopian Civil War. Her mother met her father, who was born and raised in Addis Ababa, in California. Haben's parents are fluent in three languages; Tigrinya, Amharic, and English. Girma lost her vision and hearing as a result of an unknown progressive condition beginning in early childhood. Sultan Haydar (; born Chaltu Girma Meshesha, 23 May 1987 in Golerogi, Ethiopia) is an Ethiopian-born Turkish long-distance runner. The tall athlete at was a member of Enkaspor, where she was coached by Nikola Borić. Haydar is currently serving a 30 month competition ban set to expire in July 2026 in relation to an anti-doping rule violation. Career Haydar started off her career representing Ethiopia as a middle-distance runner and was the bronze medalist in the 800 metres at the 2005 African Junior Athletics Championships. She transferred her eligibility to Turkey in 2008. Haydar's first competition for Turkey was the 2008 European Cross Country Championships. She started the women's under-23 race quickly but yielded her early lead and dropped out at the halfway point. She was the 1500 metres gold medalist at the 2009 European Athletics U23 Championships, then won the under-23 race at the 2009 European Cross Country Championships later that year.

Berhanu Girma Degefa (born 22 November 1986) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes in road running events for Canada. His personal best for the marathon is 2:06:09 hours and he was the 2012 winner of Grandma's Marathon. Berhanu made his debut over the marathon distance in 2009, competing at the Casablanca Marathon and finishing fifth with a time of 2:15:57 hours. His next outing at the 2010 Valencia Marathon saw a three-minute improvement to 2:12:51 hours. He was also fifth at the Košice Peace Marathon that year. Adane Girma (; born 25 June 1985) is an Ethiopian former professional footballer who played as a striker. He was a member of the Ethiopia national team from 2004 to 2014 and scored 9 goals in 45 appearances. Club career Adane began his career with Hawassa Kenema FC in summer 2007, then left the team and moved to Saint-George SA. He was later transformed to striker, a role in which he did very well by being one of the best scorers of the Ethiopian Premier League in the 2009–10 season. He can also play at full-back.
