Girl Spirit
''Girl Spirit'' () is a South Korean reality television singing competition that premiered on cable network JTBC on July 19, 2016. The aim of the show is to highlight the talents of the vocalists of twelve lesser-known girl groups that debuted in recent years. It airs every Tuesday at 22:50 (KST). The contestants are ranked at the end of every episode based on their performances, and their scores will be accumulated over the course of twelve weeks to determine the top four contestants, two from each team. Each week select contestants' songs will be released digitally. The winner will receive a brand new car and the runner-up will get a family vacation to Saipan; both the winner's and the runner-up's final songs will also be released digitally. Format ''Girl Spirit'' centers around twelve girl group vocalists who have yet to achieve mainstream success. Five "gurus" will judge their performances every week, as well as give them advice. Sonamoo (; stylized in allcaps) was a South Korean girl group formed by TS Entertainment. Originally a seven-member group, members Sumin and Nahyun left the group in 2019 after they filed a lawsuit to terminate the contracts with their company. Bestie (band)
Bestie (, stylized as BESTie) was a South Korean girl group formed by YNB Entertainment. They released their debut single, "Pitapat", in July 2013. The group was composed of four members, Hyeyeon, Uji, Dahye and Haeryung. While Uji and Dahye parted their ways with YNB Entertainment in September 2017, the group disbanded in 2018 following the news of Hyeyeon joining Star Entertainment. Ladies' Code
Ladies' Code () is a South Korean girl group formed by Polaris Entertainment in 2013. The group's original lineup consisted of leader Ashley and members RiSe, EunB, Sojung, and Zuny. They made their debut with the mini-album '' Code#01'' and the lead track "Bad Girl", which were released on March 7, 2013. Lee So-jung (; born September 3, 1993), better known by the mononym Sojung, is a South Korean singer. She is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group Ladies' Code. Sojung made her debut as a soloist in March 2017 with single "Better Than Me". Early life Lee was born on September 3, 1993, in Wonju, Gangwon Province, South Korea. Fiestar () is a South Korean girl group, composed of Cao Lu, Jei, Linzy, Hyemi and Yezi. They began their career prior to debut by releasing a duet with label mate IU (singer), IU titled "Sea of Moonlight" in July 2012 for LOEN Entertainment's collective label album and later gained domestic success after entering the top ten of the Gaon Digital Chart. Spica (, stylized as SPICA) was a South Korean girl group formed in 2012 under B2M Entertainment. The group consists of Kim Bo-a, Park Si-hyun, Park Na-rae, Yang Ji-won (singer), Yang Ji-won and Kim Bo-hyung. Kim Bo-hyung
Kim Bo-hyung (; born March 31, 1989) is a South Korean singer and musical actress. She debuted as a member of Spica in 2012 and made her solo debut with "Crazy Girl" in 2013. In 2016, Kim appeared on ''King of Mask Singer'', where she was a finalist for the 26th Generation Mask King, and JTBC's contest program ''Girl Spirit'', which she won. Pristin (; stylized in all caps, and pre-debut name Pledis Girlz) was a South Korean girl group formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2016. The group was composed of ten members: Nayoung, Roa, Yuha, Eunwoo, Rena, Kyulkyung, Yehana, Sungyeon, Xiyeon, and Kyla.
