Gipsy (Indonesian Band)
Gipsy was an Indonesian Rock music, rock band, formed in 1966. The band was previously known as Sabda Nada until 1969. The group mainly played music from popular American bands of that era, such as The Allman Brothers Band, Chicago (band), Chicago, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Blood Sweat & Tears, and Keef Hartley. Gipsy's development continued in line with their growing popularity in Jakarta, although they were less well known in other major cities such as Bandung and Surabaya, which were considered benchmarks for Indonesian music. Gypsy (band)
Gypsy was an American progressive rock rock band, band from Minnesota, formed as The Underbeats (1962–1968). Gypsy was the house band at the Whisky a Go Go, West Hollywood, California from September 1969 to April 1971 and were known in 1970 for their US Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 single "Gypsy Queen Part 1", which peaked at #62. The track "Dead And Gone" was played extensively on KSHE 95 in St. Louis MO, KADI-FM in St. Louis MO, and KWK St. Louis. Most of Gypsy's music was composed and written by guitarist and singer Enrico Rosenbaum. Drummer Bill Lordan went on to play with Sly & the Family Stone and a long career with Robin Trower. Keyboardist James Walsh continued the band in various incarnations as The James Walsh Gypsy Band. Guruh Soekarnoputra
Mohammad Guruh Irianto Sukarnoputra (born 13 January 1953) is an Indonesian politician and artist, formerly a member of Indonesia's People's Representative Council. He is the youngest son of Indonesia's first president, Sukarno with his third wife, Fatmawati, and a brother of former Indonesian president Megawati Sukarnoputri.
