Giovanni Andrea Fioroni
Giovanni Andrea Fioroni (also Fiorini, Florono) was an Italian classical composer, maestro di cappella and organist born in Pavia in 1716, although he had studied music for fifteen years with Leonardo Leo in Naples. He composed many operas, oratorios and about 300 sacred vocal works in a contrapuntal style, many of them for large choirs. He was first appointed as choirmaster in Como in 1747, moving on to the Milan Cathedral where he succeeded Giovanni Battista Sammartini as organist and then as a teacher. Highly regarded even by some of his major contemporaries, his students included Alessandro Rolla, Quirino Gasparini and Tommaso Marchesi, among others. He died in Milan in 1778. Maestro Di Cappella
( , , ), from German (chapel) and (master), literally "master of the chapel choir", designates the leader of an ensemble of musicians. Originally used to refer to somebody in charge of music in a chapel, the term has evolved considerably in its meaning and is today used for denoting the leader of a musical ensemble, often smaller ones used for TV, radio, and theatres. Historical usage In German-speaking countries during the approximate period 1500–1800, the word often designated the director of music for a monarch or nobleman. Motet
In Western classical music, a motet is mainly a vocal musical composition, of highly diverse form and style, from high medieval music to the present. The motet was one of the preeminent polyphonic forms of Renaissance music. A bass is a type of classical male singing voice and has the lowest vocal range of all voice types. Quirino Gasparini
Quirino Gasparini (24 October 1721 – 26 September 1778) was an Italian composer, born in Gandino, near Bergamo, Italy. He studied for the priesthood, but largely devoted his life to music, becoming ''maestro de capello'' at Turin's cathedral. His compositions are mainly of church music, including a Stabat Mater which is still performed occasionally. He also wrote several operas, including a 1767 setting of Vittorio Amadeo Cigna-Santi's libretto ''Mitridate, re di Ponto'', which three years later was set by the 14-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart for the 1770 Milan carnival.
