Giorgio Roda
Giorgio Roda (born 18 March 1994) is an Italian racing driver who currently competes in the LMGT3 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship with Proton Competition. He has attained multiple successes in GT racing, winning the 2014 International GT Open in the GTS class, taking the European Le Mans Series title in LMGTE in 2018 and winning the 2020 Italian GT Endurance Championship. His father Gianluca is also a racecar driver, as well as the owner of steel company Aceros Olarra. Career Following a spell in karts, Roda made his car racing debut in 2011, driving for Cram Competition in the Formula Abarth Series. His debut season proved to be challenging, as Roda scored a best finish of ninth at Imola and ended up 19th in the Italian standings, but he would return with Prema Powerteam the following year. Imola Circuit
The Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, better known as Imola, is a motor racing circuit in the town of Imola, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, east of Bologna. It is one of the few major international circuits to run in an anti-clockwise direction. The circuit is named after Ferrari's late founder, Enzo Ferrari (1898–1988), and his son, Alfredo "Dino" Ferrari (1932–1956). Before Enzo's death, it was called Autodromo Dino Ferrari. The circuit has an FIA Grade One licence. Imola was the venue for the San Marino Grand Prix between 1981 and 2006. During this period, two Grands Prix were held in Italy every year, with the Italian Grand Prix taking place at Monza, so the Imola race was named after the nearby state. Matteo Cairoli (born 1 June 1996) is an Italian racing driver who currently competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Career Junior formula Cairoli began his single-seater racing career in 2012, competing in the Italian Formula Renault Championship. He would finish the season 13th in points after competing in the final four races, scoring one podium. After a 2013 season in which he competed in the German Formula Three Championship, Cairoli joined GSK Grand Prix for the 2014 Formula Renault 2.0 Alps Series season. The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (), frequently referred to as ''Spa'', is a motor-racing circuit located in Stavelot, Belgium. It is the current venue of the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix, hosting its first Grand Prix in 1925, and has held a Grand Prix every year since 1985 (except 2003 and 2006). Spa also hosts several other international events including the 24 Hours of Spa, the World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. 2015 European Le Mans Series
The 2015 European Le Mans Series season was the twelfth season of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest's (ACO) European Le Mans Series. The five-event season began at Silverstone Circuit, in conjunction with the FIA World Endurance Championship, on 11 April and finished at Autódromo do Estoril on 18 October. In the lead LMP2 class, three teams did battle for the championship title; Greaves Motorsport, Thiriet by TDS Racing and Jota Sport. International GT Open
The International GT Open is a grand tourer-style sports car racing series founded in 2006 by the Spanish GT Sport Organización. It was a spin-off of the now-defunct Spanish GT Championship, but is now a distinct series featuring FIA GT3-spec cars modified from production road cars. Format The series consists of events in various European countries which feature two races over a weekend. In its first year, the races had an identical format to the Spanish GT Championship, with two 200 km races, the first held on Saturday and the second the following Sunday. Formula Abarth was an open wheel racing series based in Italy and Europe aimed at karting graduates. The inaugural season was in 2010, effectively replacing the Formula Azzurra.
